Abstract
In the Knowledge for Health care Strategic Framework for NHS Knowledge and Library Services in England 2021–2026, one of the aims is to increase the skills and confidence of knowledge and library staff in both research and in working as part of research partnerships. This is just one of the ways of ensuring that development and improvement of knowledge and library services is routinely informed by the evidence base. To enable the delivery of this aim, in 2023 the national Knowledge and Library Team, in NHS England, piloted a research skills development program, as part of the offer from the Knowledge for Health care Learning Academy. Developing the KLS researcher was delivered from March to December 2023. The programme included sessions on research skills development and supported participants to carry out both individual and group research. In this patchwork column, one of the participants in the research program, Veronica Price, is presenting the research project she carried out as part of the program. The research project focuses on knowledge mobilization, one of the key priorities for Knowledge for Healthcare. The work undertaken shares learning and identifies ideas for practical implementation of knowledge mobilization within hospital libraries.
